Address: Kyrkvägen 14, 385 51 Söderåkra
The place where the present church is located has at least three churches erected. The first known church was probably built in the 1200s.
The church seems to have belonged to the kind of churches called "Kalmar Coastal Church" - a stone church without tower consisting of several floors and had the dual function of of worship and the defense establishment. There are also unique farm cemetery graves.
The church was visited July 12, 1795 by King Gustaf IV Adolf.
